BmrCalc is a free, personal project by Hamdi Arij that offers accurate BMR, calorie, BMI, ideal weight, body fat, loan/EMI, percentage, age and unit calculators, plus a blog of plain-language BMR and nutrition explanations.
Who runs it
I'm Hamdi Arij, based in Tunis. I built BmrCalc because I wanted a straightforward calculator site I could trust myself.
What the site does
BmrCalc uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation (with Katch-McArdle and other formulas linked in the blog) to estimate resting metabolic rate and daily calorie needs. The goal is clear, referenced explanations — not medical advice. If you need personal guidance, talk to a clinician or registered dietitian.
Why this site exists
BmrCalc started as a tool for my own calorie math and grew into a public calculator and explainer blog. There is no sign-up, no account, and no personalized recommendations. The tools run in your browser — nothing you type is sent to a server.
Editorial standards
- Clear, referenced explanations (Mifflin-St Jeor, Katch-McArdle, Harris-Benedict, etc.)
- No medical advice; not a substitute for a clinician's guidance
- Honest about what the tools are and what they are not
Privacy, at a glance
I do not collect personal data beyond what your browser sends to serve the page and, when enabled, ads. There is no sign-up, no account and no email collection. Read the full Privacy Policy for details on cookies, analytics and advertising.
